History & Mission

Founded in October 2005, the STHA consists of local hospitals, health centers and clinics  and the St. Tammany East and West Chambers of Commerce. The STHA Advisory Committee of key stakeholders collaborates with the Alliance to transform and align workforce initiatives, economic development and educational opportunities to develop a skilled workforce in healthcare. Advisory Board members include:

• Southeastern Louisiana University, School of Nursing and West St. Tammany Campus
• Delgado Community College, Northshore
• Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS, Regions One and Nine)
• DHH Region 9 Healthcare Consortium
• St. Tammany Parish Schools
• The West St. Tammany Business and Career Solutions Center
• The First Planning District Workforce Investment Board (WIB)
